My latest "fridge" project

I shared with you all my last project...Frosty the Fridge-man which was SO fun and a GREAT way to keep the FRIDGE CLEAN....well, I have a NEW inspiration for my fridge...which comes AGAIN from Pinterest....

I am having a hard time finding the original source, but if/when I can, I will post it here...I LOVE it...Going to see if I can get it done today...

AHHHH...

A REALLY BIG Thank you to Alicia for telling me WHY that photobucket box was on my blog...that was making me SO crazy...AND I was wondering WHY my background wasn't showing up...I just thought that it was because of Bessie (my dinosaur computer), to my friend Lanita, for telling me how to fix it...and my techy guy...for doing it! You guys have really blessed me today!

He's a Geenjus

Isn't it funny how some of your children's names for things just kind of STICK...they are so precious that as a momma, you just wish that they always said it that way...well, such is how Pretty School came into being...one of my children called his preschool work pretty school and now, it stuck...
Well we have been working on DDs pretty school (yes, I know the difference between a ds and a dd...DD is what we call this child on my blog)anyway...I must say, he is a geenjus (DD's way of saying it...when you ask him what that means he will say, "Because I am a smart boy). I know...it is a momma's heart to think this way...and you can let me have jsut a few bragging rights here...DD is such a sweet boy and it is SO MUCH fun to see your child learn...so this past week or so, we have been working on "A" and he gets it...he sees them all over and it has been fun. He also learned about squares and made a cow from sqaures...I am not sure if it will show up or not, but I love his writing....and of course he had A LOT OF FUN putting one chocolate chip into each muffin cup...of course the best part was EATING them, but that is ok with me. He wrote A in cornmeal...read a poem, we read Ping...it is just fun.

Good, Good News

We got EXCELLENT news yesterday...my oldest had an appt. at the Rheumatologist and we were told that there was NO swelling in his joints and his arthritis is inactive. Now they will probably keep him on his meds for a year and then he can be off if everything still looks good. Arthritis has flare ups and then kind of goes into remission.
He has been hoping for a trip to Dick's for some of the BEST burgers in his opinion...and I guess he ate TWO and TWO fries and a COKE....whew...love to see him eating so well....well, maybe not WELL, but eating so much...
Praising the Lord for His hand of healing!

The Clutter that Stole my house

Many of you know, I am a clutter bug...I have been trying and trying to keep it under control, but when there is too much stuff...there is NO CONTROL...so I have been frantically de-cluttering...so far, it has been relatively easy...things I am tired of shuffling from here to there...clothes that don't fit anyone...games and puzzles missing pieces or that we have never used...that kind of thing...but I know I need to go deeper...It is amazing to have about 7 boxes and 2 large bags go out of the house, but while you can tell...it doesn't really even scratch the surface.
But today...I have someone coming to help...she is really a dear and precious girl...but I have heard she is RUTHLESS...Now, while I say that in all fun...I know I need to be ruthless too...I am tired of the chaos that a bunch of clutter causes. So, the rule of the day is a place for eveything, and everything in its place...you may want to pray for me!
I will see if there is anything picture worthy to post later....

Family Man

I found this over at Family Reformation and I thought it was a great song...I remember all of my thoughts and hopes and plans from when I was younger...they were no where near where I am...and I would never go back to that for all the money on the planet...God had a much better plan!

The SIGN of a CLEAN floor

Disgusting, HUH??? Yes we know...there is only SO far spot cleaning can go and then you need to MOP...so I dragged out the mopping supplies yesterday...we mopped THREE times...to get the floor REALLY clean!

Junkie

Well, this is a confession, of sorts...I am a Gaither Junkie...I love Bill Gaither, his Homecoming friends and the Gaither Vocal Band...I felt like I came home musically the first time I listened to a little bit of this music...as you can hear, I have a few selections on my playlist...I would have more if I could find more, but alas, not everyone loves it as I do...

Well, there is a change in the Vocal Band...and, for the most part, it is an amazing change...the new Vocal Band will have Bill Gaither (of course), Mark Lowry, Wes Hampton, Michael English and David Phelps...I am very excited about this...now I am sad to see Guy Penrod and Marshall Hall moving on, but what a group of singers they have in the new line-up...now I am looking to see when they may all be coming to my area...I definitely do not want to miss this!

This takes me back to such a wonderful time in my childhood...a time that seems so perfect in my memory...makes me SO sad that it isn't here for my children, but after they were laughing at this video, I think they don't deserve it....now (and don't you ever tell them I said this) the video is kinda funny...everyone didn't look this funny when we were little...

The pictures are so small, it is hard to read, but remember the Pig Trough? Didn't people who finished this on their own get a ribbon that said, "I made a pig of myself at Farrell's" ?

THe Hot Fudge Nutty Nutty was probably our favorite...or a butterscotch shake...mmmm...okay, I am in happy place right now...

So, is there a place your family always went to for birthdays or special occasions? Do you have a particular memory that is just IT for you?

Makes me think...one day, God will wipe away every tear...there will be no more sadness, no more sin, we will have great joy worshipping at the feet of our Savior...now I don't know much about what is going to happen in heaven and I am not going to even think about it...we couldn't even think up anything as good as what God has for His people in eternity. Gives us hope to keep on when your house is falling apart and a good friend is dying of cancer and you need a $2,000 repair on your car and you just got paid and you have $5 to last for two weeks and you fill in your details...I'm just making them up as I go...cling to the cross of Christ dear ones...one thing I know...it's better than any hot fudge nutty nutty!
